Nick Robison

Nick Robison has extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Nick is currently the Managing Director and Industry Growth Leader at Coherent, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Jarden as the Director of Scientific from April 2018 to June 2022. At Jarden, they were responsible for managing a long/short ASX 300 portfolio and providing stock idea generation and macro analysis for the institutional business.

Before joining Jarden, Nick held various roles at Morgan Stanley. Nick served as the Executive Director and Head of Mining and Energy Research from January 2017 to April 2018, leading a team of analysts and associates covering the Australian Metals & Mining and Energy sectors. Nick also led the coverage of Australian Industrials and contributed to global thematic notes.

Nick's earlier experience includes working as a member of the Equities Research team at Merrill Lynch, focusing on the Transport, Commercial Services, and Engineering sectors. Nick also held positions at American Express, including B2B Regional Manager and Implementation Consultant, and at Accenture as a Business Analyst in Strategy.

Nick Robison attended Macquarie University from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Applied Finance degree in the field of Finance. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2003, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Otago. Additionally, during the same period at the University of Otago from 1999 to 2002, they also pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honors in the field of Management.
