Victor Qin

Victor Qin has a long and varied work experience. Victor started their career in 2007 as a Software Developer at Lenovo, where they wrote, updated, maintained, tested, trained, and documented the preload process using DOS. In 2009, they moved to HP as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where they were responsible for understanding web-based applications and identifying technical problems and processes. In 2011, they joined Barnes & Noble as a Senior Software Tester, where they designed, wrote, modified, and integrated testing tools and scripts to measure and characterize the performance of software in the Android platform. In 2015, they moved to Ping An Technology as a Senior Software Test and Analyst Engineer. In 2017, they joined Invenco as a Software Tester. Finally, in 2018, they joined Quantifi Photonics as an Engineering Test and Validation Manager, where they were responsible for CI/CD delivery pipelines and stress/performance testing using Python.

Victor Qin obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Information Technology from the University of Brighton between 2004 and 2006. Victor then went on to obtain their Master's degree in Information Technology from the University of Sunderland between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, they hold certifications from the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) and iSQI GmbH (ISTQB® Certified Tester – Foundation Level).
