Haoguo Zhu

Haoguo Zhu has extensive experience in product development and engineering roles in the semiconductor industry. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Montpellier II in France. From 2002 to 2007, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they focused on designing and fabricating novel materials for industrial applications.

In 2007, Haoguo Zhu joined NN-Labs/NNCrystal Corporation as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader, leading the development and integration of colloidal core-shell quantum dot packaging for LED lighting and display applications. After that, they worked as the Director of New Product Development and Staff Engineer at Intematix from 2011 to 2018, overseeing the development of LED packaging processes and materials for general lighting and LCD display applications.

In 2018, Haoguo Zhu became the WW Technical Project Lead/Manager of Product Development at Lumileds, where they led cross-functional teams in the development of LED package integration and assembly for automotive lighting applications.

Currently, Haoguo Zhu is working as a Product Development Lead/Staff Engineer at Coherent Inc., leading the development of semiconductor diode laser packages for military and defense applications. In this role, they collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to design and develop NPI packaging processes and release mass production for diode laser packages.

Throughout their career, Haoguo Zhu has demonstrated expertise in leading product development, managing cross-functional teams, and collaborating with external partners. Haoguo has a strong background in the semiconductor industry and a focus on improving process efficiency and meeting quality requirements.

Haoguo Zhu holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University and a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma: Define and Measure Tools, Learning Jira Software, Agile Project Management with Microsoft Project, LinkedIn Learning Highlights: Project Management, and Managing Project Stakeholders, all from LinkedIn.
