Michiel Kouwenhoven

Michiel Kouwenhoven has a strong background in the field of integrated circuits, with experience in product line management, engineering management, and design. Michiel currently serves as the VP, Integrated Circuits Product Line at Coherent Inc., where they oversee the development of analog and mixed-signal ICs for optical transceivers. Prior to this, they were the Product Line & Engineering Director at Analog Devices, where they successfully turned a legacy RF detector business into a high-revenue, high-margin product line. Michiel also held the position of RFIC Design Manager at Linear Technology, where they focused on developing integrated solutions for communications infrastructure, aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. Before transitioning to industry roles, Michiel Kouwenhoven worked at National Semiconductor Corporation in various capacities, including Senior Applications Engineering Manager and Design Engineering Manager. Michiel started their career as an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where they taught graduate courses and conducted research in analog electronic circuit design.

Michiel Kouwenhoven received their M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Michiel further pursued their education at the same university, earning a Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from 1993 to 1998.
