Edwin Tan

Edwin Tan is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior International Counsel at Coinbase since March 2025. Previously, Edwin held the position of General Counsel at CoinJar from November 2021 to March 2025, overseeing legal and compliance functions globally for a digital currency exchange with licenses in multiple countries. Prior to that, Edwin worked at ASIC as Senior Legal Counsel focusing on consumer harm in the retail credit industry, and earlier as a Lawyer in Financial Services Regulation at K&L Gates, advising various financial institutions. Edwin began their career as a Software Engineer at Constraint Technologies International, specializing in real-time schedule and resource optimization. Edwin holds a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) and a Bachelor of Computer Science from Monash University.
