Sumit Gupta

Sumit Gupta is the Co-Founder and CEO of CoinDCX, a cryptocurrency trading platform based in India. Prior to launching CoinDCX, Gupta was a software engineer at Sony and a data research analyst at Columbia Business School.

In early 2018, Gupta noticed a vacuum of information and understanding around the cryptocurrency ecosystem in India. Users had to navigate a vast, labyrinth-like environment to efficiently trade their cryptocurrencies. In response, Gupta co-founded CoinDCX with the mission of making investing in cryptocurrencies easier.

CoinDCX acts as an aggregator of trading services. Instead of buying cryptocurrencies with fiat on one platform, trading across currencies on another, and trading with leverage on a third, users can sustain and operate multiple instruments through a single gateway on CoinDCX. The company is successfully executing an industry-wide abridgment of trading services.

Sumit Gupta has a Master of Technology in Communications & Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Sumit also has a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same school. Sumit has certification from The Japan Foundation New York and Center for Global Partnership (CGP) in Japanese Advanced (JLPT Level N3). Sumit is also certified by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in German (Advanced). Finally, Sumit has certification from National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in Securities Markets.
