Aoyon Ashraf

Aoyon Ashraf is a seasoned professional in the field of cryptocurrency journalism and mining economics, currently serving as the Head of Americas, Managing Editor, and Editorial Writer at CoinDesk since October 2021. Prior to this role, Aoyon contributed to Bloomberg as a specialist in mining, metals, and energy from February 2012 to October 2021. Aoyon also has experience in investment banking from Mackie Research Capital between 2009 and 2011. Aoyon holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto, completed in 2010, and is an alumnus of Jarvis Collegiate High School.
