Sam Ewen's work experience includes various roles in media, marketing, and experiential technology.

Starting from 1997, Ewen served as the President of Eisnor Interactive, a creative agency focused on offline promotions for online brands. In 2001, they became the Owner of Interference Incorporated, one of the first agencies dedicated to guerrilla, alternative, and experiential marketing.

In 2007, Ewen co-founded The Supertouch Group, an experiential technology company that provided large-scale systems and advanced user experiences for tradeshows, events, and corporate settings. The company was later sold to Guild is Good LLC in 2014.

From 2014 to 2016, Ewen worked as a Partner at GUILD, and from 2016 to 2017, they served as the Executive Creative Director, Experiential, at Clique Media Group.

In 2017, Ewen joined The New York Times as the Director of New Business Development and Senior Vice President of Business Development for Fake Love, a division of The New York Times. Sam worked closely with the parent company to redefine marketing strategies and innovation platforms for major brands.

From 2018 to 2020, Ewen worked as an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College.

In 2020, they became the Managing Director of dotdotdash, Inc., a creativity x innovation studio that provided marketing solutions for dynamic brands.

Finally, in 2021, Ewen joined CoinDesk as the SVP, Head of CoinDesk Studios, and later transitioned to the role of SVP, Head of Media Innovation & Experience. In this role, they oversaw video and audio product development, focusing on delivering outstanding consumer experiences and implementing innovative techniques such as AI, Web3, and immersive and social media technologies.

Sam Ewen has a background in Literature and English. They obtained a BA in Literature and English from Hunter College in 1991. Currently, they are pursuing further education at BrainStation in an unspecified field of study. Additionally, Sam Ewen has obtained a certification as a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist from Section4 in 2021.
