Stephen Muasya-Msc,Bsc,CISA® has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to 2023. Stephen currently holds a position as a Member at the World Metaverse Council and YOUNGO, where they are involved in youth engagement and climate technology issues at an international level. Prior to this, Stephen worked as an Information Technology Risk & Compliance Manager at Mara, where they led the development and implementation of the company's information security program. Stephen also served as a Senior Software Business Analyst, responsible for executing test scripts, diagnosing incidents, and facilitating communication between business system users and technical teams. Stephen's earlier experience includes roles at Family Bank Ltd, where they worked as a Senior Technology Risk Officer and Senior Business Banking Analyst, and at Sidian Bank and Kwetu Sacco, where they gained valuable experience as a Business Development Specialist and Internship Trainee in ICT respectively.

Stephen Muasya holds a Masters in Computer Science (MSc) in Information Technology Management from the University of Nairobi, which they completed from 2019 to 2021. Stephen also holds a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Business Information & Technology Management (BBIM) from Kisii University, completed from 2011 to 2015.

In terms of certifications, Stephen obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA®) credential from Strathmore University in 2017. Stephen is currently pursuing a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) degree in Information Security Governance from Strathmore University, scheduled to be completed in 2023.

Stephen has also acquired additional certifications, including Cloud Governance from Cybrary, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, Building and Auditing a Cybersecurity Program from LinkedIn, Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from MF Treinamentos, and MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals-Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities from Microsoft, all obtained in 2023.

Prior to that, they obtained the MITRE ATT&CK Defender™ (MAD) ATT&CK® SOC Assessments certification from Cybrary in 2022.
