Massimiliano Rijllo has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and insurtech. Massimiliano is the Co-Founder and CEO of Coinnect SA, a company that provides services and platforms for cyber risk assessment, mitigation, and incident response. In this role, they work with loss adjusters, brokers, and insurance companies to facilitate customer acquisition and enhance their cyber insurance offering.
Prior to this, Rijllo worked at Palo Alto Networks as a Major Account Manager in the finance market. Massimiliano was responsible for developing business with large banks, insurance companies, IT services providers, and financial organizations in Italy.
Massimiliano also worked at IBM, first as a Security Sales Representative, where they managed large accounts in various industries and developed business for the IBM Security Portfolio. Later, they served as the Web Fraud Sales Leader, where they focused on selling complex cybersecurity and anti-fraud solutions to banks and financial institutions.
Before joining IBM, Rijllo worked at Trend Micro as a Major Account Manager, focusing on the banking, finance, and large enterprise sectors. In this role, they managed the sales cycle, developed and maintained customer relationships, and worked closely with channel partners.
Earlier in their career, Rijllo worked at Sophos as an Account Executive and then as an Account Manager. Massimiliano was also the Head of Sales and Founder at Liscom, a cybersecurity startup that provided managed security services. The company was later acquired by Cobra Group, now Vodafone Automotive.
Rijllo began their career as a Senior Software Developer at Eurosat (now Vodafone Automotive), where they worked on software development projects for vehicle security monitoring, electronic security systems, and customized ERP/CRM software.
Massimiliano also has experience working on a startup project during the late 1990s.
Massimiliano Rijllo completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2018. Before that, from 2014 to 2015, they attended IBM Global Sales School for Experienced Sellers at IBM. Massimiliano'seducation journey began in 1997 and continued until 2002 at Università di Pisa where they obtained a degree in Computer Science.
