Anand Murali

Anand Murali has a diverse work experience in the media and technology industry. Anand is currently working as the Head of Multimedia Products at CoinSwitch Kuber, a position they started in February 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded FactorDaily Media Lab in April 2020 and served as the Head of Product & Associate Editor at FactorDaily from April 2020 to February 2022. Anand has also worked as an Independent Contributor at LiveMint from May 2021 to January 2022 and as a Podcast Consultant & Producer at Times Internet from January 2021 to January 2022. Anand was chosen as a Fellow at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, News Catalyst, and the Google News Initiative from June 2021 to August 2021. In addition, Anand has held positions such as Chief Sub Editor & Principal Technology Correspondent at Network18 Media & Investments Limited from September 2019 to April 2020, Head of Production and Senior Writer at FactorDaily from January 2016 to August 2019, Technology Correspondent at The Economic Times from December 2014 to January 2016, and Technology Correspondent at Times Internet from December 2014 to January 2016. Anand's experience includes roles in multimedia production, content management, editorial partnerships, event organization, and specialization in technology reporting.

Anand Murali completed a Product Immersion for Small Newsrooms program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from B. M. S. College of Engineering. Anand also holds a High School Diploma from Peevees Public School. At Indian School Muscat, they pursued Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching. Additionally, Anand Murali obtained a Commercial Pilots License from Nice Air. Anand also has additional certifications, including Product Strategies for Journalism from the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas and Sorting Truth From Fiction: Civic Online Reasoning (Fact Checking) from MITx on edX, both obtained in 2021. In 2018, they obtained the IBM Blockchain Essentials certification, and in 2007, they obtained the FAA CPL (Multi-Engine) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
