R Venkatesh

R Venkatesh (Venkat) has an extensive work experience in various leadership roles related to public policy, corporate affairs, government relations, and government affairs. R Venkatesh is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Public Policy at CoinSwitch since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs at MakeMyTrip from 2020 to 2022. R Venkatesh also served as a Consultant in Government Relations at Xylem India in 2020.

From 2015 to 2019, Venkat was the Director and Head (India) of Corporate (External) Affairs at Philip Morris International, where they provided strategic government affairs advice and established relationships with key stakeholders. R Venkatesh was previously the Deputy Director and Head of Government Affairs at PNB MetLife India Insurance Co. Ltd in 2015.

Before that, they held the position of Joint Director in Government and Public Affairs at BG Exploration and Production India Limited from 2012 to 2015. Venkat also has experience in government affairs roles at HSBC as the Senior Vice President and Head of Government Affairs from 2010 to 2012, and at BG Group as the Manager of Government & Public Affairs from 2006 to 2010.

Additionally, Venkat worked at IMA India as a Project Lead in Research and Advisory Services from 2000 to 2006, and at IMRB International as an Associate Project Director in Consumer Research from 1997 to 2000.

R Venkatesh (Venkat) attended Manipal Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1995, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication. R Venkatesh later pursued further education at Delhi University, graduating in 1997 with a Master's in Business Economics (MBE), with a focus on Marketing.
