Lloyd Black has a strong background in the banking industry, with over 30 years of experience. Lloyd started their career in 1990 at Citizens Bank Limited, where they worked their way up from a Teller to a Credit Officer. Lloyd then joined FINSAC Limited in 1997 as a Credit Restructuring and Collections Officer. In 2000, they moved to CIBC Jamaica Limited, where they served as an Account Manager and achieved significant growth in the business client segment. Lloyd joined RBTT Bank Jamaica in 2002 and held various roles, including Branch Manager, where they led teams in different locations and achieved strong turnaround and growth performances. Lloyd then joined First Global Bank Jamaica in 2007 as an Assistant Vice President, taking on responsibilities in both retail and corporate banking. Since 2014, Lloyd has been working as the Chief Business Development Officer at COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union Ltd.

Lloyd Black earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Banking and Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's degree in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Canadian Bankers from 1993 to 1998. Black's earliest education includes attending Wolmer's Schools from 1982 to 1990.
