Angela Byrne

Angela has been working with the Colavria family since 2001. She began her journey as the first Human Resources Director and charged with crafting the HR department from scratch. Once she successfully established the HR function in 3 communities, she worked her way up to operations and became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Angela is known for her commitment and passion for resident centered care. During her tenue as Administrator her community received high honors from Planetree International by being the first long term care community to receive an award recognizing a whole-hearted commitment to a resident centered care culture. During her 14 years as Administrator her accomplishments include: receiving the first Planetree recognition award for exemplifying resident centered care, excellent survey and quality measure outcomes, obtaining the quality award through American Health Care Association (AHCA), serving as a Quality Award reviewer for AHCA, adding on and opening a 30-bed rehabilitation unit, OSHA SHARPS certification and most importantly building a devoted and engaged team.

In her current role as Colavria’s Director of Operations she pulls from her experience to provide operational support to fellow NHA’s and uphold the core values of: innovation, collaboration and harmony.

Angela is no stranger to and has extensive experience with: strategic planning, driving a culture of resident centered care, building and leading teams, excellent survey outcomes, positive outcomes with Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR), survey management, implementing programs to reduce rehospitalizations, cost containment certification, OSHA’s SHARPS certification and employee engagement.

Despite her fear of flying, she loves to travel internationally with her family and is hoping to visit Scotland, Ireland and Italy in the near future.
