Jim Wilt

Jim Wilt has an extensive background in trumpet performance and music education. Currently serving as Associate Principal Trumpet at the Los Angeles Philharmonic since March 2003, Jim also holds the position of Professor of Trumpet and Chamber Music Coach at The Colburn School since August 2007. Previously, Jim was Associate Principal Trumpet with the Houston Symphony from March 1989 to March 2003 and played as 4th/Utility Trumpet with the New York Philharmonic from February 1994 to July 1995. Jim earned a Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
