Gary's military service includes roles as an aerospace fire protection specialist in the United States Air Force and a telephone and data circuitry equipment specialist in the Oregon Air National Guard. Gary holds Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees in Emergency Medical Technology from Chemeketa Community College and Linn-Benton Community College.
