Bastiaan Boersema

Bastiaan Boersema has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Bastiaan started their career as a Software Engineer at LabQ in 2008, where they worked as a Webdeveloper and later as a Software Engineer until 2009. Bastiaan then joined Logica as a Software Engineer for an internship from September 2009 to February 2010.

In 2010, Bastiaan joined Gasunie as a Software Engineer, where they served as a technical advisor for Java and .NET and was responsible for data migration of GIS applications. After that, they worked at KPN as a Software Engineer from December 2010 to October 2012. Bastiaan was also a Team Lead during this time, involved in a project called VAMOS which aimed to replace old mobile order systems.

Later, Bastiaan moved to CIZ and worked as a Software Engineer from February 2013 to December 2013. Bastiaan also served as a SCRUM Master during their time at CIZ.

From April 2015 to September 2015, Bastiaan worked as a Dev Engineer at ING Nederland, followed by a role as Lead Developer at Stichting Pensioenregister (SPR) from February to December 2016. At SPR, they were responsible for the development of a central portal providing pension insights to Dutch citizens.

Bastiaan joined ING in January 2017 as a Fullstack Dev Engineer and worked there until December 2019. Bastiaan'sresponsibilities included working on various software development projects. Finally, they are currently working at Colect as a Senior Java Software Engineer, starting from January 2020.

Bastiaan Boersema started their education in 2002 at the University of Groningen, where they studied Psychology. Bastiaan completed this program in 2004, but did not obtain a degree. In 2006, Bastiaan began studying at Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology with a specialization in Software Engineering. Bastiaan graduated from this program in 2010. In addition to their formal education, Bastiaan has obtained certifications in Professional Scrum Master I in March 2013 and Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, SE 6.0 in February 2010.
