David Schwarz

David Schwarz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. David started their career in 2005 as a Sound Engineer, specializing in live sound for various genres of music. David worked as a Freelancer and also did touring work nationwide. In 2011, they worked as a Promoter & Events Coordinator, where they redesigned the company logo, created online profiles, and organized events.

From 2012 to 2015, David worked at the BBC as a Studio Opener, providing access to studio facilities for live broadcasts and pre-recorded programs. David handled various setups for radio and television transmission, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and maintaining the technical quality of broadcasts.

In 2013, David joined Coleg Cambria as a Lecturer in Creative Technology, where they taught subjects like Creative Technology, Sound, Technical Theatre, and Digital Media. David used innovative pedagogical techniques and incorporated technology in teaching, and also contributed to the design of a new national course for Music/Music Technology.

From 2015 to 2017, David worked at Ascend Media Group as an Accountable Manager, booking and managing audio/visual (A/V) hire for events and productions. David designed and deployed appropriate A/V system packages, managed workflows, and supervised personnel to meet client expectations.

David Schwarz has a diverse education history. David obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD - Computing) degree from The Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in the Centre for Advanced Computational Science (CfACS) from 2016-2022. Prior to that, they completed a PGCE degree in Post-Compulsory Education at Wrexham University from 2014-2016. Additionally, they received a City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) from Coleg Cambria in 2014. In 2010-2013, David attained a Bachelor's Degree in BSc Music Technology from Wrexham University. Furthermore, they completed their A Levels in Chemistry, Biology, English Literature, and Media Studies at Yale College from 2004-2005. David also holds GCSE qualifications from St. Joseph's R.C. High from 1999-2004. Lastly, David obtained a City & Guilds Level 2 certification in Essential Digital Literacy Skills from Coleg Cambria in 2018. David has an additional certification as a Trinity College London - Arts Award Assessor from Trinity College London, obtained in 2015.
