Felipe Palacios

Felipe Palacios is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Rector and Head of School at CIEDI IB World School since May 2012. Felipe has played a crucial role in advising the board on integrated STEM education, international education, and K-12 market trends in the LATAM region. Felipe's leadership contributed to the development of a strategic plan and initiatives that reduced teacher turnover and enhanced professional development in interdisciplinary teaching. As a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, Felipe researched the impact of interdisciplinary communities of practice on STEM education in primary IB classrooms. Previous roles include consulting for the International Baccalaureate and serving as Intern Assistant Principal and Vice Principal at CIEDI. Felipe holds a PhD in Integrated STEM Education from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from FIU, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science from York University.
