Neil Bernardi

Neil Bernardi has a diverse work experience in the wine industry. Neil is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Colgin Cellars, starting in 2023. Prior to this role, they held various positions at The Duckhorn Portfolio, including Vice President/General Manager of Kosta Browne/Goldeneye/Canvasback from 2018 to 2023, Vice President of Winemaking from 2014 to 2018, and GM of Sonoma County Winegrowing from 2011 to 2014. Neil also worked as a Migration Winemaker from 2009 to 2014. Before joining The Duckhorn Portfolio, Neil was an Associate Winemaker at Littorai Wines from 2007 to 2009 and an Assistant Winemaker at Goldeneye Winery from 2005 to 2007.

Neil Bernardi completed their education at various institutions. Neil attended San Rafael High School from 1996 to 1999, where they did not receive a degree. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Viticulture and Enology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian at UC Davis from 1999 to 2003. Later, Neil joined the Institute of Masters of Wine in 2017 to become a Stage 3 Master of Wine Candidate, expected to complete their studies in 2023. Neil also obtained additional certifications, including the French Wine Scholar from the Wine Scholar Guild in June 2021 and the WSET 3 from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in July 2016.
