Joel C.

Joel C. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present day. Joel started their career as a Lead Designer at Eagle Research LLC from July 2006 to September 2007. Joel then became the Principal of Carlton Designs LLC in November 2006, where they focused on web interface layouts and graphic design. In 2007, they established Carlton Photos, specializing in web standards and designs. Joel also worked as a Front-End Assistant at Costco Wholesale from October 2009 to January 2010. From August 2008 to September 2009, they served as a Lead Designer at Silverback Marketing, focusing on search engine marketing and social media. Joel also gained experience as a BOH Specialist at Apple Retail from June 2010 to April 2012.

In the field of information technology, Joel worked at Windstream Communications starting in April 2012. Joel initially served as an Enterprise Data Technician, responsible for troubleshooting layer 3 networks and providing support on various routing platforms. From August 2013 to August 2014, they worked as an Enterprise Network Analyst, and later became a Client Server Developer/Analyst, engaging in web application coding, testing, and debugging. Joel then joined Apex Systems in January 2015 as a Windstream Engineer II NOC Tools Response Team member. During their time there, they developed a centralized application portal using PHP, JavaScript, and other technologies.

From January 2016 to August 2016, Joel worked as a Backend Interactive Developer and Linux Administrator at Find Great People, specifically for Jackson Marketing, Motorsports & Events. Afterward, they joined CoLinx, LLC in September 2016 as a System Administrator, DevOps, IT Operations. Joel later transitioned to the role of Security Analyst in May 2018, and most recently served as an Information Technology Auditor starting in September 2020.

Joel C. began their education journey in 1994 when they attended Trinity Christian School. Joel completed their studies there in 2004 and obtained a Diploma in General studies. Following that, they enrolled in Bob Jones University in 2004 and studied Graphic Design until 2005, although they did not graduate with a degree from this institution.

In 2008, Joel C. joined Greenville Technical College, where they pursued a degree in Networking. Joel studied there until 2011 and successfully obtained an AAS degree in Networking.

In terms of additional certifications, Joel C. acquired various certifications throughout their career. In 2018, they obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications. Later, in 2019, they completed the Architecting Splunk 7.3 Enterprise Deployments certification from Splunk. Furthermore, in 2020, they achieved the Splunk 8.0 Cluster Administration certification from Splunk. Additionally, Joel C. obtained several programming certifications, including Learn Java from codecademy.com and Foundations of Programming: Fundamentals, Foundations of Programming: Object-Oriented Design, and Java Essential Training from lynda.com. Finally, in 2021, they acquired the GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) certification from GIAC Certifications.
