Sophie Grimes

Sophie Grimes has extensive experience in communications and the arts, currently serving as a Communications Coordinator at Collaboration for Early Childhood since June 2020. Additionally, Sophie has been a Poetry Reviewer for Publishers Weekly since September 2010, providing concise reviews of poetry collections. Prior roles include Communications Associate at the NYC Department of Education, where responsibilities involved enhancing the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality, and Campus Coordinator at Oberlin Shansi. Sophie's earlier experience includes managing social media for Chicago Detours, assisting at Jody Michael Associates, and guiding food tours for Chicago Food Planet. Sophie’s academic background features a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and East Asian Studies from Oberlin College.
