Thu Lu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began as a Pharmacy Technician intern at Dong Tam Pharmacy in 2018. Afterwards, they worked as a Summer Intern at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and as a Volunteer at Scripps Memorial Hospital. In 2018, Thu Lu joined UC San Diego as an Undergraduate Student, where they later became a Laboratory Assistant and a Summer Intern. They also served as an Undergraduate Instructional Apprentices. In 2020, Thu Lu became a Team Lead at YNOT Health and YNOT - Younified Network of Talents. They then volunteered as a Volunteer Medical Assistant at Wynn Medical Center from 2021 to 2022. From 2018 to 2023, Thu Lu worked at UC San Diego Health - Moores Cancer Center as a Research Assistant. Their most recent position, starting in 2022, is as a Research Study Assistant at Collaborative Neuroscience Research (CNS), a division of Apex Innovative Sciences. Currently, Thu Lu is a Student at Albany Medical College, beginning in 2023.

Thu Lu's education history is as follows:

From 2023 to 2027, Thu Lu attended Albany Medical College and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Allopathic Medicine.

From 2018 to 2022, Thu Lu studied at UC San Diego and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences. Thu Lu also pursued a minor in Psychology and Chinese Study during this time.

In 2017 and 2018, Thu Lu attended El Monte High School and completed a degree in Pharmacy Technician, focusing on the field of Pharmacy.

From 2015 to 2018, Thu Lu studied at Rosemead High School and obtained a GED.

In the earlier years, from 2011 to 2015, Thu Lu attended Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School and also earned a GED.

Thu Lu has also obtained several additional certifications. These include Student Success Mentor Training and Trained Mentor certifications from Mentor Collective, obtained in October 2022 and October 2021, respectively. Thu Lu also has certifications in various clinical staff roles, including Clinical Staff, Clinical Staff (GCP), Clinical Staff (IPS), and Clinical Staff (RCR) obtained from the CITI Program in December 2022. Thu Lu holds certifications in Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher, Shipping and Transport of Regulated Biological Materials, Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), Biomedical Research Investigators and Key Personnel, Group 7 - GCP, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens, all obtained from various institutions between 2022 and 2022.
