Ken Novak has a strong background in data engineering and cloud consulting. Ken currently works as a Staff Data Engineer at Collective Health, where they construct and optimizes data warehouses and pipelines using technologies such as Databricks Spark, Presto, Airflow, and Looker. Ken also orchestrates medical care data flows within the organization and among partner companies. Before this, they were an Independent Consultant specializing in cloud applications and data analysis, where they worked with large collections of sensor data for energy efficiency. Ken has also held roles at Zymergen, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Manager, at Vieu Labs as a DevOps Lead, and at dataFascia.com as a VP DevOps. Additionally, they served as a board member at SITIA, a non-profit organization applying technology in developing countries. Ken co-founded Replicate Technologies and served as a Software Architect. Ken also has extensive experience as the CTO at CGNET, where they were responsible for product development, customer relations, and overseeing technical services delivery teams.
Ken Novak earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Yale University, where they attended from 1975 to 1979. In 2001 and 2002, they pursued a fellowship program focused on Information Technology in Development at Stanford University.
