Michael Williams

Michael Williams has a strong legal background with experience in various roles. Michael currently serves as the Senior Privacy and Security Counsel at Collective Health starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at PointClickCare, where they held multiple positions, including Associate General Counsel & Privacy Officer from December 2020 to February 2023. Michael also served as the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Privacy Officer at Collective Medical from June 2019 to December 2020, and as Corporate Counsel at Collective Medical from January 2017 to June 2019. Before their time at PointClickCare, they founded their own law firm, Williams Law, PLLC, where they worked as an Attorney from November 2014 to May 2017. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as an Assistant General Counsel and Law Clerk at Remedy Informatics from August 2013 to October 2014 and from May 2012 to August 2013, respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Law Clerk at Miles & Stockbridge P.C. from May 2011 to August 2011 and as an Intern at the Federal Judicial Center from January 2010 to April 2010.

Michael Williams attended Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications and Management. Michael then pursued higher education at The George Washington University Law School from 2010 to 2013, obtaining a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. In terms of additional certifications, Michael became a Certified Cyber Security Architect through ecfirst in April 2017. Michael also became a member of the Utah State Bar in October 2013.
