Philson Truong

Philson Truong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Philson started their career as a Student Assistant for the California Department of Education, where they gained valuable technical and interpersonal skills while supporting efforts to improve educational standards. Philson then worked as an Accountant for the California Employment Development Department, where they handled insurance claims and bookkeeping responsibilities.

In 2013, Philson joined the California Department of Education again, this time as an Analyst, contributing to efforts to enhance educational access and create guidelines for special needs, at-risk, and non-English speaking students. Philson also worked as an Associate Buyer for EAT Club during this time.

Philson later transitioned to the healthcare industry, working as a Financial EDI Analyst for UC Davis Health System. In this role, they implemented EPIC systems and handled EDI data related to healthcare eligibility, payments, and claims.

Philson then joined bswift / Aetna as an EDI Consultant, playing a vital role in the growth and development of the company by leveraging their financial, technical, and EDI knowledge. Philson worked on data integrations, client onboarding, data management, and training colleagues.

Since 2017, Philson has been working for Collective Health. Philson has held various roles including Senior EDI Analyst and Software Engineer, gaining experience in improving data ingress/egress, API development, database migrations, and programing in languages such as Java, Python, and Scala. Philson currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer, Backend.

Philson Truong attended Cosumnes River College from 2006 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering. Philson then transferred to the University of California, Davis and completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from 2009 to 2012.
