Javier Marcos has worked in the IT industry since 2001. Javier began their career as a Sys Admin at UPC-ETSETB Serveis Informatics, followed by a role as an Analyst Programmer at Accenture in 2006. In 2004, they became a Software Engineer at HP, where they designed, implemented, tested and documented image applications based on Color Theory. In 2007, they moved to Eircom as a Technical Support. In 2008, they joined Voxpilot as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where they were responsible for ensuring compliance to various Internet, Web and Telecom standards, software behaviour under load, and interoperability with a wide range of equipment. In 2009, they began working at Qualcomm (Xiam) as a Software Engineer, where they focused on the quality of the product's API as well as the Back-End Recommendation Algorithms. In 2012, they joined Giesecke & Devrient as a Software Engineer and was responsible for automation in their Mobicore product. In 2014, they began working at Strands as a Software Engineer, where they developed an engine that generates insights from customers and has the intelligence to decide on smart alerting them back. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Collective Minds Radiology, where they are responsible for the development of Data Ingestion and connecting of Hospitals to CMRAD Platform at www.cmrad.com.

Javier Marcos obtained a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 1998 and 2006. In 2010, they obtained a Foundation certification in Testing from ISTQB. In 2011, they obtained an Advanced Test Analyst certification in Software Testing from ISTQB/ISEB. Javier also attended Salesianos Horta, though no degree or field of study is listed.
