Saumya Dixit is an experienced media and archives professional currently serving as the Sr Media and Archives Manager (Audio & Video) at Collective Newsroom since April 2024. Previously, Saumya held the position of Media & Archives Manager (Audio & Video) at BBC News from December 2017 to April 2024, and prior roles included Senior Executive (Archive) at News World India and NewsNation. With a solid foundation in archival practices, Saumya was instrumental in the installation and testing of the Quantum Digital Tape Library system while working at INDIA NEWS, and has managed diverse archival content spanning multiple themes. Saumya's educational background includes degrees in Clinical Psychology and Library and Information Science, along with a PG Diploma in Counseling and Clinical Psychology from Counsel India, set to complete in January 2025.
