Kristin McDonald currently serves as the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at the College of American Pathologists (CAP), a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Kristin held the title of Chief of Legislative and Political Affairs at the American College of Surgeons from June 2017 to January 2024, and was the Director of Congressional Affairs at the American Society of Clinical Oncology from September 2014 to June 2017, where responsibilities included leading advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.
