Martin mc Cormack

Martin Mc Cormack has a diverse range of work experience. Martin served as the Chief Executive Officer of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland, overseeing the development of a comprehensive corporate governance framework, crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a successful digital transformation program. Martin was also a Member of the Oversight Panel for the Irish Platform for Patient Organisations, Science, and Industry, and a Peer Reviewer for the Academy of Management. In addition, they served as a member of the HSE Board Technology and Transformation Committee and the All Ireland Digital Health Capability Advisory Council for Health and Social Care in the Health Service Executive. Martin Mc Cormack also had roles as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Tutor at Trinity College Dublin, an Honorary Peace Commissioner, and a Member of the National Taskforce on the NCHD Workforce at the Department of Health - Ireland. Furthermore, they were the Honorary Secretary for both the Forum of Irish Postgraduate Medical Training Bodies and the International Academy of Colleges of Anaesthesiologists, where they played a significant role in improving patient safety and coordinating global initiatives. Martin started their career at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland as the Head of Operations.

Martin McCormack completed their education as follows:

- From 2021 to 2026, they pursued a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Postgraduate Research in Strategy and Public Policy at Aston University.

- From 2018 to 2020, they attended the Institute of Directors (IoD) and completed the Chartered Director Programme in Corporate Governance.

- In 2010 to 2011, they earned a Diploma in Corporate Governance from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

- In 2002 to 2004, they obtained a Master of Arts in Healthcare Management (MAHM) from the Institute of Public Administration.

- From 1992 to 1996, they studied at Trinity College Dublin, where they earned a BSS, NQSW, MA degree in Social Science.
