Anissa Williams

Anissa Williams is currently a Graduate Student at the College of Charleston, pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science while conducting research on AI in education. Anissa has an extensive background in engineering management, having held positions such as Senior Engineering Manager at Workiva and Engineering Manager at both Zapier and TeamSnap. Prior experience includes a Director role at Zipari and a Senior Lead Technologist position at Booz Allen Hamilton, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing Agile program execution across multiple teams. Anissa spent nearly a decade at Benefitfocus, progressing from Software Engineer to Senior Manager of Engineering, focusing on client implementations and software development. Previous roles as a Software Engineer at SAS and a developer at TriTech Software Systems further contributed to expertise in software engineering and educational technology. Anissa holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a B.S. in English Education from Florida State University.
