David Owens

David Owens serves as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and a Professor of Biology at the College of Charleston since January 1999. Previously, David held the position of Emeritus Professor and Fulbright Fellow at the University of Charleston, SC from July 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, David was a Professor of Biology at Texas A&M University from August 1978 to August 1999. David's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Zoology from the University of Arizona (1972-1976) and postdoctoral studies in Animal Physiology at Colorado State University (1976-1978).
