Evie Nadel

Evie Nadel currently serves as the Institutional Ombudsperson and Executive Director of Community Relations at the College of Charleston, a role held since August 2003, where responsibilities include representing the President at community functions, serving on various community organization boards, and co-creating a community outreach program for mentoring relationships between students and community members. Nadel also provides support during times of grief within the campus community. Previously, Nadel was the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Community Relations, overseeing neighborhood relations and student conduct, among other duties. Prior experience includes the role of Assistant Dean of Student Life and Leadership/Director of Orientation at the University of Scranton from October 1989 to July 2001. Nadel holds a Master of Education degree in College Student Personnel and Counseling from SUNY Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Psychology from William Penn University.
