College of Charleston
Kenyatta Grimmage, M.Ed, is an experienced education professional and community leader with a diverse background in higher education and social initiatives. Currently serving as Co-Founder of Black Charleston since January 2021, Kenyatta has played a pivotal role in creating a social media platform. As a Founding Member of 100 Black Men of Charleston since August 2018, Kenyatta advocates for youth development and mentorship. In addition, Kenyatta has been the Associate Director of Admissions Access Initiatives & Pre-College Programs at the College of Charleston since August 2009, focusing on enhancing educational access for underrepresented students. Previous roles include English Instructor at Trident Technical College and English Teacher in Charleston County School District. Kenyatta holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Columbia College (SC) and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English from South Carolina State University.
