Brian Caputo

Brian Caputo is the current President at College of DuPage. Prior to their current position, Brian served as the Chief Financial Officer/City Treasurer for the City of Aurora from August 1998 to March 2017. Before their time in Aurora, Brian was the Director of Finance/Treasurer for the Village of Mount Prospect from June 1996 to July 1998 and the Assistant Director of Finance for the Village of Hoffman Estates from August 1993 to June 1996. Brian began their finance career as the Assistant Finance Director for the Village of LaGrange from November 1991 to August 1993. Brian then went on to work as a Staff Auditor for Price Waterhouse from January 1990 to November 1991. Brian's professional experience also includes their time as a Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) for the United States Army Reserve from May 1982 to December 2004.

Brian Caputo has a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Brian also has a Ph.D. in Public Administration, Public Policy, and Government Finance from Northern Illinois University. In addition, they have a Master of Public Administration in Fiscal Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy from DePaul University. Brian also has a Diploma from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. Brian Caputo is also certified by the State of Florida as a Certified Public Accountant and by the Government Finance Officers Association as a Certified Government Finance Officer.
