Dan Wions

Dan Wions is a distinguished musician and educator currently serving as the Principal Horn for New York City Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet, as well as the Artist Teacher of Horn at The College of New Jersey. With an extensive career that includes positions as Principal Horn at Glimmerglass Opera and Ocean City Pops, Dan also performs with the Universal Brass Ensemble. Previously, Dan operated as a freelance musician, presenting clinics and maintaining an active performing schedule across the NY/NJ/PA area, along with national and international tours. Dan is the former owner of Live Music Consulting LLC, where talent cultivation and resource networking for musicians were primary responsibilities. An alumnus of Indiana University Bloomington, Dan holds a Bachelor of Music in French Horn Performance, Piano, and Composition.
