Illiona Okereke

Illiona Okereke, EdS, LPC, currently serves as a Trauma Counselor at The College of New Jersey within the AmIOK Program, and as a Project Manager at Shannon Mason LLC, which focuses on strategic planning and executive coaching. Additionally, Illiona works as an Adjunct Professor and has founded MESH with illy, an initiative aimed at empowering black women of Caribbean and African descent through the integration of faith, mental health, and culture. Illiona's extensive experience includes roles as a Haitian-Creole Interpreter and both High School and Elementary School Counselor in Hamilton Township School District, as well as serving as a Psychotherapist in private practice at Purposeful Pathway Consultants LLC. Previous positions include a Therapist at Greater New Jersey Creative Counseling and a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at The College of New Jersey. Educational qualifications consist of an Educational Specialist degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The College of New Jersey, a Master of Arts in Counseling Services from Rider University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Clinical/Counseling) from The College of New Jersey.
