Kara Pothier

Kara Pothier is an experienced editor and educator with a diverse background in media production and communications. Currently serving as an Editor at The College of New Jersey since 2015, Kara leads the production of TCNJ Magazine and manages content across various platforms, including print and digital media. Previously, Kara worked at The Arnold P. Gold Foundation as an Assistant Director, where responsibilities included writing, editing, and strategic communication planning. With a foundational career at Nickelodeon as a Segment/Coordinating Producer on "Nick News with Linda Ellerbee," Kara developed over 200 hours of content, earning multiple Primetime Emmy awards. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Teaching from The College of New Jersey and a Master's degree in Broadcast Production from Boston University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
