Nicholas Battista is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at The College of New Jersey since July 2017, also serving previously as an Assistant Professor. In addition, Nicholas was a Google AMLI Instructor at Agnes Scott College during the summer of 2019. Prior experiences include a Teaching Assistant position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Nicholas lectured in various mathematics and biology courses from August 2011 to July 2017, and worked as a Research Assistant on projects involving fluid dynamic modeling and cardiogenesis. Nicholas also held a Fellowship with AAAS for Emerging Leaders in Science & Society from September 2015 to May 2017, and has held research and teaching roles at Stony Brook University and Rochester Institute of Technology. Nicholas earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and holds degrees in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Rochester Institute of Technology.
