Michelle Casavant

Michelle Casavant is an experienced legal professional and educator currently serving as an Appointed Board Member at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia since July 2024. In this role, Michelle participates in governing the College's affairs in alignment with the Health Professions Act. Additionally, Michelle is an Instructor in the School of Legal Studies at Capilano University and has been involved with Modern Collaboration and the Department of Justice Canada as a Mediator, Conflict Coach, Consultant, and Legal Counsel since October 2019. Michelle specializes in Aboriginal Affairs, providing legal analyses, developing dispute resolution strategies, and supporting negotiations. Michelle holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria and a Conflict Resolution Certificate in Mediation from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
