Marcus Johnson

Dean, School of Business, Hospitality and Public Services at College of Southern Nevada

Marcus Johnson is the current Dean of the School of Business, Hospitality and Public Services at the College of Southern Nevada. Marcus has over 20 years of experience in leadership positions at various colleges and universities. Most recently, they were the Campus College Chair for the School of Business and College of Information Systems & Technology at the University of Phoenix. In this role, they were responsible for overall campus management of the two schools, including hiring and training faculty, maintaining quality and integrity of programs, and responding to student issues and concerns. Prior to their time at the University of Phoenix, Marcus was the Dean of Career and Technical Education at Arizona Western College for 11 years. In this role, they provided leadership to the college’s Division of Career and Technology, ensuring responsive educational, career and technical education opportunities for the diverse student population. Marcus also directed federal and state grants supporting career and technical education, and developed and executed a multi-million dollar budget. Marcus has a proven track record in leadership and management, with a commitment to providing quality education opportunities for all students.

Marcus Johnson has a Doctor of Management from the University of Phoenix in Organizational Leadership, an MBA from Creighton University in Finance and Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point in Engineering and Economics. Marcus also went to Mitchell High School.

Their manager is Federico Zaragoza, President. They work with Juanita Chrysanthou - VP, Student Affairs, Charles Okeke - Dean, School of Education, Behavioral & Social Sciences, and Michael Spangler - Dean, School of Advanced & Applied Tech.
