Shawn Keeley

Dean of Institutional Advancement at College of the Atlantic

Shawn Keeley is currently the Dean of Institutional Advancement at College of the Atlantic. From January 2011 to July 2014, Shawn was the Manager of Private Philanthropy at the Institute for Sustainable Communities. From May 2006 to January 2011, Shawn was the Director of Development at Green Mountain Club, where they successfully completed a $5.25 million comprehensive capital campaign ahead of GMC's 100th anniversary. Shawn has a long history of soliciting major donors, organizing and training teams of regional volunteer solicitors, prospect research and evaluation, designing campaign materials, tracking campaign financials, and cultivating/stewarding/acknowledging donors. Shawn is also experienced in planned giving and directing donor cultivation and fundraising events. Thanks to Shawn's dedication and hard work, the Green Mountain Club moved from several years of budget deficits to running surpluses.

Shawn Keeley is a certified fund raising executive who has a bachelor's degree in human ecology from the College of the Atlantic. Shawn specializes in sustainable development, ecology, organic agriculture and permaculture.
