Colleen Bailey has accumulated diverse work experience over the years. Colleen started their career at Koocanusa Publications in 1992, where they worked as a Graphic Designer, Writer, and Photographer. In 1998, they transitioned to the Kootenay News Advertiser as a Graphic Designer, Writer, and Photographer, where they were responsible for various tasks such as designing advertisements, writing articles, and capturing photographs. In 2000, they joined the College of the Rockies as the Lead Graphic Designer, overseeing projects, providing creative direction, and managing workflow. In 2006, Colleen joined Paws-Abilities Pet First Aid and Safety Training as the Education Program Coordinator, where they offered courses in animal first aid and safety and provided emergency response team services at events.

Colleen Bailey's education history includes studies in Public Relations at the University of Victoria, Communications at Simon Fraser University, Graphic Design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and Liberal Arts and Sciences at East Kootenay Community College.
