The College of William and Mary (W&M) has the distinction of being considered the second-oldest college in the United States. In more than 300 years of operation, W&M has established itself as a premier university, combining an emphasis on research and engagement with the wide-ranging, interdisciplinary nature of the liberal arts. W&M's academics focus primarily on undergraduate study. More than 35 undergraduate programs are available, including a few joint degree programs with the University of St. Andrews.
