Vice President, Partnerships at College Possible

Catherine Marciano has extensive work experience in the education and nonprofit sectors. Catherine currently holds the role of Vice President, Partnerships at College Possible since January 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President, Program Strategy + Evaluation at the same organization from October 2019 to January 2021. Before joining College Possible, Catherine worked as an Independent Consultant, specializing in Philanthropy, Nonprofit, and CMO Management, among other areas. Notable projects during their consultancy include designing and facilitating a workshop series for iMentor and providing pro-bono advisory services for Breakthrough Schools in Cleveland.

From 2010 to 2018, Catherine worked at KIPP NYC, first as the Managing Director of College Services and later as the Director of College Programs. In these roles, they led the design and implementation of college persistence and completion strategies and developed and evaluated signature events targeting KIPP NYC graduates.

Catherine's early career includes a tenure as the Program Director at Student Sponsor Partners, where they managed a large nonprofit program and achieved significant cost reductions. Catherine also worked as a teacher at Cathedral High School NYC, where they taught mathematics and religion and served as the founder and head coach of the varsity swim team.

Catherine Marciano has a diverse education history. In 2017, they obtained a Certificate in Post-Secondary Success: In Schools, Communities, and Families from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2006 and 2007, they pursued a Certificate in Not-For-Profit Middle Management from the Columbia Business School. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1997, Catherine studied Mathematics at Saint Mary's College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Their high school education was completed at Beaumont School from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, in October 2019, Catherine obtained the Trailhead Profile, Ranger Rank certification from Trailhead by Salesforce.
