Yi-Chun Chen has a diverse range of work experience. Yi-Chun worked at the College Success Foundation as an Assistant Director in the Research, Evaluation, and Learning Department from January 2020 onwards. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Research and Evaluation Officer at the same company from February 2017 to January 2020.
Yi-Chun also worked at the International Baccalaureate, starting as a Research Assistant from April 2008 to October 2011. During this time, they merged students' data from various sources, assessed performance and engagement of high school students, and organized annual reports on IB curriculum student performance. Subsequently, they became a Research Analyst from January 2011 to November 2011, managing multiple datasets and providing consultative support on research methodology. Yi-Chun then served as a Research Manager from November 2011 to June 2016, where they built and improved survey services, conducted data analysis, and presented findings to leadership.
Additionally, Yi-Chun worked as a Graduate Assistant at Teachers College, Columbia University from September 2006 to April 2007, and as a Research Assistant at Columbia University from May 2005 to December 2005, assisting in laboratory experiments on consumer behavior.
Yi-Chun Chen completed their education with a Ph.D. in Cognitive Studies in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their M.S. in Cognitive Studies in Education from the same institution, studying between 2004 and 2006. In their earlier years, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Library and Information Science at National Taiwan University, spanning from 1999 to 2003.
