Steven Brunton

Chief Scientist at Collimator

Steven Brunton has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Steven is currently a Professor at the University of Washington, where they have held positions as an Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Acting Assistant Professor since joining in 2012. Steven is also a Co-founder and technical consultant on machine learning and AI at Alchemai since 2017. Additionally, they have served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University, where they worked on unsteady fluid dynamic models and computational tools. Furthermore, they were a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Caltech in 2005. Recently, they have joined Collimator as the Chief Scientist, commencing in 2023.

Steven Brunton earned their high school diploma from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science from 2000 to 2002. Steven continued their education at Caltech from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Following this, Steven attended Princeton University from 2006 to 2012, where they completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
