Ben Sturgess

Ben Sturgess has diverse work experience in software and project management roles. Ben is currently working as a Senior Software Program Manager at Collinear Group, where they are responsible for managing a full-stack software development program for Boeing. Ben oversees three teams of developers, ensuring scope, cost, delivery, and quality. Ben also manages the agile release train and cadence, captures customer requirements, and builds test scripts and infrastructure for software development.

Prior to their current role, Ben worked as a Plant Manager at GKN Aerospace from 2017 to 2020. Ben successfully maintained on-time delivery and high-quality standards, set schedules, and ensured operational success. Ben also has experience as a Project Manager at GKN Automotive from 2014 to 2017, leading engineering teams and managing software development projects for energy storage systems and vehicle control units.

In 2011, Ben worked as a Test Manager at Williams Racing, where they recruited and managed a team of test technicians and facilitated efficient test facilities usage. Before that, they served as a Lead Software Engineer at MEL Aviation Components Ltd from 2009 to 2011, enhancing software functionality for hydraulic test facilities. In their early career, Ben worked as an Electronic Development Engineer at Thales from 2006 to 2009, specializing in LabVIEW programming for automation and delivering production test systems.
