Lauren Pulling has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Lauren is currently a Next Gen Board Member at PPA. Prior to this, they held the position of Product and Insights Director and Senior Adviser at Collingwood Advisory Ltd, where they provided scaleup and M&A advice to founders and CEOs of media, events, and business information companies. From 2019 to 2023, Lauren served as the CEO of The Drake Foundation, a not-for-profit organization focused on funding research at the intersection of sport, science, and wider society. Lauren also held the role of Programme Manager at The Drake Foundation, overseeing funding, research governance, events, and resources. Before their time at The Drake Foundation, Lauren worked at Future Science Group, starting as an Editorial Assistant (Digital), then advancing to Editor, Senior Editor, and eventually Publisher (Head of Digital Content). Lauren was responsible for overseeing digital content hubs, managing teams, and exceeding key performance indicators focused on membership growth and audience engagement. Additionally, Lauren served as the Managing Director at Future Science Events, where they oversaw the launch of the events wing of the company and successfully launched 3DMedLIVE, an accredited two-day event in the medical 3D printing space. Prior to their career in publishing and events, Lauren worked as a private tutor at First Tutors, providing personalized lesson plans for students in biology and maths. Lauren also gained experience as a Summer Intern at Birkbeck, University of London, working with a cognitive neuroscientist on tasks such as MRI brain scan analysis and research evaluations.

Lauren Pulling completed their education at various institutions. From 2012 to 2015, they attended UCL and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Neuroscience. Before that, they attended Peter Symonds Sixth Form College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained A Levels in Chemistry, Human Biology, Psychology, Mathematics, and General Studies. Their earlier education took place at The Henry Beaufort School from 2005 to 2010, where they acquired GCSEs including Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. In addition to their formal education, Lauren Pulling also obtained a certification in "Facilitating Meetings That Work" from Facilitation First Inc. in May 2023.
