Pradipta Biswas

Pradipta Biswas is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since April 2016 and serves as a Senior Principal Engineer at Collins Aerospace from November 2024. With extensive experience in telecommunications, Pradipta holds notable positions such as Co-Chairman of the International Telecommunication Union's IRG AVA and Vice Chairman at the Focus Group on Smart TV. Pradipta's academic career includes being a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, where involvement in various research initiatives, particularly focusing on accessibility in audio-visual media, has been prominent. Pradipta completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge in 2010, supported by the Gates-Cambridge Scholarship. Educational credentials also include multiple degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a BTech from the University of Kalyani.
